چکیده
Abstract The purpose of this work is the validation hydrodynamic resistance for a small fishing vessel providing more details about ship’s hydrodynamics. selected ship traditional that has been sailing in Argentina than 20 years without previous numerical evaluation. Because absence optimization, might be non-efficient from consumption, operating and polluting point view. For reason, order to bring detailed evaluation flow around hull, studies are carried out with open source OpenFOAM code validated experimental results obtained at University Buenos Aires towing tank. Reynolds Averaged Navier Stokes (RANS) method together volume fluid (VOF) used procedure. Once validated, total coefficient split into viscous wave coefficients provide insight Pressure distributions on hull patterns will also presented different loading conditions, focusing give information future optimization.
